StartingBlock Madison (SBM) is a startup entrepreneurial hub opening in the Spring of 2018 in the heart of Madison’s Capitol East District where entrepreneurs, investors, advisors, and community members can connect, share innovative ideas and create next-generation businesses. StartingBlock’s mission is to create meaningful intersections that cultivate entrepreneurs, build innovative and growing companies, and drive new ideas into reality.

The Director of Operations is responsible for the implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of StartingBlock’s programming and operational activities. The position will participate in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives in addition to problem solving. Working within the guidelines, policies and mission of the StartingBlock program, the Director of Operations will be accountable and responsible for specific projects as assigned. The Director of Operations will work closely with the SBM Executive Director to achieve the overall goals of the organization, including the following activities:

The Startup Team Strategist will play a vital role in the helping Madison startups meet their talent and growth. The Startup Team Strategist will be responsible for helping growing startups (including but not limited to StartingBlock tenant/member companies) develop hiring and talent strategies and recruit, retain, and develop employees. The Startup Team Strategist will also assist, plan, implement and measure StartingBlock’s team-building and talent related programming.
