Join the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship to meet Vanessa McDowell, the first black woman CEO in YWCA Madison’s 112-year history. She is deeply committed to offering programs and services that support women and social justice, help families and strengthen communities. In 2016 BRAVA magazine selected Vanessa as one of the 22 Women to Watch. She graduated from UW with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.

The UW-Madison Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship offers a weekly Distinguished Entrepreneurs Lunch program where local experts on entrepreneurship tell their unique stories and share their expertise and knowledge. This casual, fun and informal environment provides an opportunity to get advice and ask questions. The sessions occur over the lunch hour on Wednesdays from 12:15-1:00 p.m. in room 5110 Grainger Hall except where noted. Please consider joining us for all or some of their sessions!
