StartingBlock is looking for an Events and Marketing Intern to join us in September 2026. Help run the events and marketing behind Madison's growing startup community — 10–20 hrs/week, on-site at 821 E Washington Ave. Get hands-on experience at the center of Madison's startup community. Sales and Marketing Intern
Julia Vondrak
Julia is a Field Marketing Coordinator for Scenthound Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia She graduated from UW-Madison in 2026with a major in Strategic Communications. She brings hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing from roles at Fiskars, the Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work, and the Wisconsin State Capitol.

Law and Entrepreneurship Fellow
Jake Kealy
Since interning at StartingBlock, Jake has worn many hats—finishing law school, serving as a Judicial Intern for Judge William M. Conley in the Western District of Wisconsin, and becoming an attorney. Upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin Law School, Jake began his career as a Naval Officer and Judge Advocate General (JAG), now serving as Defense Counsel at DSO West in San Diego, California, representing sailors on some of their toughest days.

Events Intern
Kate Gehringer
With a passion for entrepreneurship, Kate began her career in software sales after graduating from UW–Madison in 2024. At Box, she grew from an SDR to supporting enterprise outbound strategies, gaining hands-on experience with the entire sales cycle and Fortune 500 clients. Now at Uber as an SMB Account Executive, Kate manages her own book of business - an outcome that mirrors the entrepreneurial drive that first inspired her career in sales.

Law and Entrepreneurship Fellow
Maciej Czerlonko
Maciej is an Associate Attorney with Russell Law Offices, primarily working with agricultural families, rural landowners, and small business owners. His practice focuses on business law, estate planning, and civil litigation, where he helps clients navigate everything from complex contracts and property transitions to dispute resolution and estate administration.
